Our client design and manufacture rubber components for machinery operating in the toughest of environments, such as quarrying and mining.
They have an opportunity for a mechanically biased Process Engineer to join their engineering team.
The job holder is responsible for the provision of design* process engineering input and the project management necessary to drive the introduction of new process products and forward development of the existing systems product range. To undertake investigation and resolution of technical issues (non-conformities and complaints) along with the provision of solutions and rectification actions to reduce the costs associated with these issues. The Process Engineer is also responsible for day to day management of allocated engineered systems projects.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES ? Design & development of new concept systems and equipment. ? To drive the modernisation of systems offerings in relation to instrumentation & control technology in order to provide added value benefits for systems. ? Provide instrumentation and control support and electrical engineering support. ? In conjunction with Sales assist with the preparation of detailed systems designs & specifications. ? Equipment selection support & Training. ? Project management of process equipment and systems projects, including preparation of B.O.M?s & cost control, etc ? Preparation* maintenance of manuals for systems projects. ? Preparation of purchasing specifications relevant to equipment & system product range. ? Technical support* trouble shooting. ? Complaint investigation and resolution. ? On site product commissioning, optimisation & customer training.
THE PERSON (skills, qualifications, knowledge and experience) Conversant with Technology ? CAD Autocad 2000. ? Word Processing MS Word ? Spreadsheets Excel ? Databases CSM & PC File Storage. ? Communication Telephone, Faxes, E mail
Background ? Qualification in Mechanical Engineering - HNC* Degree, ? Field service commissioning experience, ? Ability to work to Standards, i.e. ISO9001, CE, Standard Working Practices, etc ? Related Product Knowledge of Hydrocyclones, Pumps, Classifiers* Hydrosizers, Dewatering* Sizing Screens. In addition to this knowledge of rubber lined process equipment. ? Health and Safety awareness, including Mines and Quarry and CDM. ? All applicants must have relevant industry knowledge
